The Spanish company Molecor received the first prize in the SolVIn Awards 2013, in the category on innovation, the highest recognition of the event.

“The competitors and the winners of the SolVin Award show that the PVC industry is responding with innovative solutions to global megatrends, including the growing demand for water, energy and resource efficiency amid difficult economic times,” said SolVin Managing Director Filipe Constant. “They also demonstrate how our industry is meeting those needs in a safe and sustainable way.”

After the awards ceremony, the CEO of Tech Molecor Ignacio Muñoz thanked the organizers: “Since the beginning, Solvin supported our project to develop the air technology to manufacture PVC-O pipes. This is recognition for our continuous work to place to the market new PVC-O possibilities”.

The 78 projects in competition came from sectors ranging from construction to electronics, gardening to road safety, health care to autos and other manufacturing. The ceremony also included a panel discussion, a first for the SolVin Award, on innovation and sustainability with Ignacio Muñoz, CEO of Tech Molecor as one of the participants.

Molecor, Spanish company specialized in manufacturing and PVC-O technology for pressurized water pipes, has been awarded with the "Innovation Gold" prize for its revolutionary technology to manufacture the highest range of products up to DN 630 mm in high pressures, reaching 25 bars.
