This Mechanical Calculation Program TOM® “tomcalculation” developed by Molecor is    an innovate application of mechanical calculations for buried plastic pipes PVC oriented TOM®, with a design that provides easy functionality and user interaction. It is developed in three languages: Spanish, English and French and it is in continuous improvement to be able to adapt to the information needed by the user.

The user has a personalized platform for creating their own projects and calculations associated with them.

The application provides as results the different efforts that TOM® Pipes will support will support, and their coefficients of safety to break and crush, based on the references standards:

  1. ATV-DVWK-A 127E:2000: "Static Calculation of Drains and Sewers."
  2. UNE 53331:1997: "Poly (vinyl chloride) pipes not plastic and polyethylene (PE) of high and medium density.  Criteria for checking the tubes to use in pipes with and without pressure pressurized to external loads.

This method of calculation is one of the most widespread around the world, together with the AWWA method. The experience over the years has shown that the results obtained with the same are reliable. The input parameters provided should correspond to the reality of the project.

It is important to perform the mechanical calculation of the buried pipelines to assess the mechanical stress transmitted to the pipe by the action of the different external loads acting. So, the mechanical calculations of the Pipes TOM® should be realized before project the installation.
