World Water Day, Molecor is water available to all

World Water Day is celebrated every year on the 22nd of March, and although it doesn't have always the same slogan, its aim is always the same: to remember how vital this liquid is.

Water comes from nature, and returns to nature. Droughts, natural disasters caused by extreme weather, polluted oceans and seas... make this resource increasingly scarce. In only four years' time, it is estimated that two thirds of the world's population could be under water stress. And nearly 2.2 billion people live already without totally access to this much-needed resource. There is no doubt that this situation, which is becoming closer and closer on a daily basis, requires a conscience exercise.

Moreover, in the last year, water has proved to be a decisive factor. Everyday acts such as disinfecting and cleaning or washing hands, which up to three million people in the world are unable to do, are key actions in the fight against COVID 19.

For these and other reasons, this year the UN is putting on the table the challenge of reflecting on the value of water, without reducing it only to its economic meaning, otherwise relating it to cultural, health, economic or dignifying aspects of each society in general, and each individual particularly.

Molecor has always been aligned with the environment carrying out programs such as Operation Clean Sweep, which prevents the loss of granules in its installations; it has used pressurized air instead of water to produce TOM® pipes and ecoFITTOM® fittings, and it has made from the PVC-O, its raw material, being a 100% recyclable material.

In addition to this, both TOM® pipes and ecoFITTOM® fittings present a complete watertight, being very competitive products in the field of sustainability; their environmental impact or carbon footprint, compared to other solutions, are minimal.

But this year, with the UN slogan "#water2me", Molecor feels even more involved in this celebration and aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 6: ensure the availability of water and its sustainable management and sanitation. The company has always made the effort of making water available to all, leaning on several reasons. The first of these is its international reach, whether through the company or through its distributors, business development is becoming more and more important every day. This development is totally related to the second reason, customer orientation. Molecor detects the needs of the market for pressurized water installations and, thanks to a continuous innovation, it strives to get them. The last argument, but perhaps the most important measure from which Molecor contributes to the maintenance and the equal water distribution, is the ease of accessibility to its TOM® pipes and ecoFITTOM® fittings. They are as affordable as it is possible to achieve healthier and safer networks all over the world. Thanks to its cost efficiency, Molecor can offer a more competitive product and it can bring the privilege of water to more impoverished societies.
