The most demanding soundproof performance

Article 14 of the Basic Document HR (Noise protection) of the Technical Building Code warns us that in order to limit the risk of disturbance to the users of the homes, the elements of the installations will reduce the emission of noise during their operation, affecting both new construction and renovation and reform work.

Let us consider that for a daily noise index value of 60 dB(A), the Technical Building Code Basic HR Document allows a maximum of 30 dB(A) in the building’s enclosure, whether the building is for residential, hospital, educational, cultural or administrative use.

Comparing the above figures, the noise values emitted by the AR® Soundproofing Evacuation System are well below the maximum allowed by the TBC, which guarantees great comfort in homes and a significant reduction in the inconvenience caused by the drainage of fluids.

The sound level measurement carried out by Molecor follows the specifications set out in the UNE-EN 14366 standard, which describes the test bench and noise measurement procedure.

The values indicated are those recorded in the noise measurement room on the other side of the wall that supports the installation.

These values, for flow rates of 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 and 4.0 litres per second, are respectively 2, 5, 10 and 16 dBA.

 

Noise legislation RD 1367/2007

In accordance with RD 1367/2007 of 19 October which develops Law 37/2003 of 17 November on Noise, the following table details the acoustic quality objectives for noise applicable to the interior living space of buildings intended for housing, residential, hospital, educational or cultural use.

The values in the table refer to the immission index values resulting from the set of acoustic emitters that affect the interior of the building (installations in the building itself, activities that take place in the building itself or adjacent to it, environmental noise, interior transmission).
