Spanish molecular orientated PVC pipe producer Molecor has launched the first 630mm diameter PVC-O pipe. The TOM brand pipe is produced on Molecor’s M OR P 3163 inline pipe orientation equipment at the company’s own pipe production company in Mejorada del Campo near Madrid. The complete line, with a separate discontinuous air conditioning orientation chamber, was designed by Molecor Tech to have a total length of just 44.9m. This includes a Battenfeld-Cincinnati Argos 114 extruder with 1,000kg/h output, two vacuum tanks of 9m and 6m, as well as the haul-off, sawing and the orientation equipment.
