The Seventh edition of Spain Smart Water Summit has concluded yesterday with the presentation of the IX iAgua Awards, the most prestigious prizes in the hydric sector of the Hispanic world, with which innovation, dedication and commitment to the preservation of hydraulic resources by the companies are recognized.
The event took place yesterday, 21th September, at Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center, where representatives from important enterprises in the irrigation industry and governmental institutions has been present.
The organization has awarded Molecor the prize for the Agro Company of the Year 2023, recognizing the work carried out this year by the enterprise with the irrigation industry in the American continent and Spain, which has converted the company’s dedication into the development of specific actions that have benefited both people and the environment.
Pablo Peinado, Head of Molecor’s Civil Works Technical Solutions Department, was in charge of collecting the award on stage at the event, where he has expressed his gratitude for the prize.
The advances achieved by the company during the last year have contributed to the improvement of the hydric efficiency of the irrigation systems in areas where the scarcity of this so appreciated resource, is being increased because of the drought period we are living.
With this new international prize, the commitment to the sustainable development of Molecor in the agriculture sector has been highlighted through actions such as the digitalization of the hydraulic systems with the new mobile application geoTOM® and the launch of the largest diameter for PVC-O pipes in the world, the new DN1200, capable of supplying large irrigation areas and providing water to reservoirs.
Both developments mark a milestone in a sector such as water transport, which is becoming increasingly important every year as a result of the environmental imbalances our planet is suffering.
