Ever since its conception, Molecor Tecnologia has been fully committed to sustainable development and innovation.  In line with those principles, Molecor has recently become a member of Vinyl Plus, with the aim of working together towards a sustainable development.

VinylPlus is the new ten-year Voluntary Commitment of the European PVC industry which builds upon the achievements of the Vinyl 2010 programme.  Some of its achievements were:

- Recycling of more than 200,000 tonnes of post consumer waste by 2010, exceeding the 10-year target

- 50% reduction in lead stabiliser use in the EU-15 achieved two years ahead of time (2008)

Sustainability in Molecor

Building upon this,  the European PVC industry  launched VinylPlus, a new and more ambitious 10-year sustainable development programme, taking the next important steps in tackling the sustainability challenges for PVC and also in establishing a long-term framework for the on-going sustainable development of the PVC value chain. The regional scope of the programme is the EU-27 plus Norway and Switzerland.

Molecor PVC-O pipes meet key sustainability criteria:  made from salt (57%) and oil (43%), are less oil-dependent tan other major thermoplastics.   PVC-O is a recyclable material.

In addition Molecor manufacturing process is highly energy efficient and the pipes obtained are an eco-friendly product because of its long useful life.
