The United Nations first declared World Water Day on 22 March 1992. The main goal of this celebration is to shine a light on the global water crisis and raise awareness of how necessary this natural resource is.

Like every year, on the 8th of March, Molecor will celebrate International Women's Day. This year, it will do so by supporting the latest initiative launched by the Adecco Foundation, the aim of which is to raise awareness about the barriers that many women still face and accelerate the employment of those at risk of poverty and/or exclusion.

According to information available, the estimated demand for water in Spain in 2021 was 32,000 hm3/year, with the main use being irrigation and agricultural purposes, which accounted for approximately 80.5% of said demand, followed by supply at 15.5%. This was followed by industrial use.
